This policy explains how SeatLive Ticketing Services Limited collects, uses and protects personal information through the websites and services we operate, including seatlive.com, xperiencetickets.com, intervalorders.com, and any associated booking, kiosk or pre-order services.
1. Who we are
SeatLive Ticketing Services Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”) is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

2. The information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

- Order and booking information: details of tickets purchased, event attended, venue, seat and any preferences you provide.
- Payment information: card payments are processed directly by our payment provider (FreedomPay or, where applicable, an alternate provider). We do not store full card numbers; we receive a transaction reference, the last four digits and the authorisation result.

- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, referring pages, and cookie data when you use our websites.
- Correspondence: records of your contact with our customer services team.

3. Why we use it and our lawful basis
Under the UK GDPR we must have a lawful basis for processing your personal data. The table below sets out what we do, why, and the basis we rely on.
| What we do | Why | Lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| Process and fulfil your ticket order or booking | To deliver the tickets and service you have purchased | Performance of a contract |
| Send order confirmations, receipts and service notifications (including SMS where you have provided a mobile number for an order) | To keep you informed about your order, including urgent changes at the venue | Performance of a contract / legitimate interests |
| Send marketing emails about offers, events and new products | To tell you about things we think you'll be interested in | Consent (you can withdraw at any time) |
| Operate our websites, prevent fraud and keep our systems secure | To run a safe, reliable service | Legitimate interests |
| Improve our products, analyse usage and run customer research | To develop and improve what we offer | Legitimate interests |
| Keep accounting, tax and statutory business records | To meet our obligations under UK law | Legal obligation |
| Run prize draws or competitions | To administer the promotion and notify winners | Consent / legitimate interests |
4. Who we share it with
We share personal data only with parties who need it. These include:
- Venues, ticketing providers and event organisers whose tickets you have bought (for example, where we integrate with Spektrix or a venue's own ticketing system).
- Payment processors — principally FreedomPay, and Stripe where used as an alternate gateway.
- Analytics providers — Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC), where you have given consent via our cookie banner. See section 9 for detail.
- IT and infrastructure providers who host our systems, send transactional emails or provide secure remote access.
- Professional advisers such as our accountants and legal advisers.
- Law enforcement, regulators or courts where we are legally required to do so, or where it is necessary to prevent or detect fraud.
- A buyer or successor if we sell or transfer all or part of our business.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for third-party marketing.
5. International transfers
Most of your data is processed in the UK. Where a service provider is located outside the UK, we put appropriate safeguards in place — typically the UK's International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA), or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or reliance on a UK adequacy decision where one applies. The main transfers you should be aware of are:
- Google LLC (United States) — analytics data via Google Analytics 4. Google relies on its EU–US Data Privacy Framework certification and Standard Contractual Clauses. We have IP anonymisation enabled and we do not pass identifying personal data to Google Analytics.
- Cloud and email service providers — some are located in the European Economic Area or the United States.
You can request details of the safeguards used by emailing mail@seatlive.com.
6. How long we keep it
- Order and booking records: 7 years after the date of the transaction, to meet HMRC and accounting requirements.
- Account data: for as long as your account is active, then up to 2 years after your last interaction.
- Marketing data: until you unsubscribe or after 3 years of no engagement, whichever comes first.
- Customer service correspondence: up to 3 years from the date of contact.
- Website technical logs: typically 12 months.
7. How we protect it
We use SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit, restrict access to authorised staff, and keep our systems patched and monitored. Card payment data is handled by PCI-DSS compliant payment providers and is not stored on our servers. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no internet transmission can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
8. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectify data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Erase your data in certain circumstances ("right to be forgotten").
- Restrict our processing of your data in certain circumstances.
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time.
- Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is the basis we are relying on.
To exercise any of these rights, email mail@seatlive.com. There is no charge for a subject access request in most cases. We will respond within one month and may ask you to verify your identity before we release information.
Complaints: if you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.
9. Cookies and tracking
Our websites use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember your preferences and help us understand how the site is used.
Strictly necessary cookies are set automatically because the site cannot function without them — for example, the cookie that records your cookie preferences themselves.
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) are only set after you give
consent via our cookie banner. We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits, understand
which pages are popular and improve the site. The main cookies set by GA4 are
_ga and _ga_<container_id>, which expire after 24 months.
GA4 does not write personal data into these cookies; it generates an anonymous client
identifier. We have IP anonymisation enabled and we do not link analytics data to any
other personal information you have given us.
Marketing cookies are not currently in use. If we add advertising or remarketing tags in future, they will only be set with your consent and we will update this policy.
You can change your cookie preferences at any time using the “Manage Cookies” link in the page footer, or via your browser settings. For full details of which cookies we use, see our Cookies Policy.
10. Marketing
We will only send you marketing emails where you have asked us to. Every marketing message includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by emailing mail@seatlive.com. Opting out of marketing will not stop us sending essential service messages relating to a booking you've made.
11. Other websites
Our sites may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites — please check their own privacy notices.
12. Changes to this policy
We review this policy regularly and will post any changes here with an updated version date. Where the changes are significant we will let you know directly.
